What is your training style:I use a variety of training styles with my clients, but most importantly, I expect a lot from my clients. If I ask them to eat a certain way, do certain workouts on their own, or follow a specific supplement or cardiovascular routine, then I expect them to do it, with no excuses. I look for clients who are willing to give 100%, and if they will, then so will I. I will help anybody who asks for it, provided they show me the respect of taking my advice seriously.
In general, please describe your experience:I began as an independent contractor, training friends and family in college. Most of my clients the first two years were gained primarily by word of mouth and referrals from my other clients. I have worked independently and as an employee of different chain gyms, and have worked with everybody from amateur bodybuilders to overweight clients to diabetics to transplant patients, including one female client who started with me as a size 20, and less than 5 months later bought her first size 6.
How would you help an overweight client lose weight:With any weight loss program I try my best to make it fit their lifestyle as best as possible. I am a firm believer that the best program is useless if the client cannot follow it due to financial, time, or nutritional constraints. Nutrition is customized based on food preferences, allergies, religious beliefs, and nutritional deficits, and allows for some leeway as the client adjusts to healthier eating. Primary focus is on creating a lifestyle change, not a quick fix.
