What do you think about the latest trends in the fitness industry:It is sad to say that the fitness and nutrition industry are filled with wanna be specialists that have little or no education in these subjects. Certifications are numerous, some requiring little more than buying the prep materials and taking the exam. A degree in exercise science and nutrition requires years of rigorous study in biochemistry, physiology, psychology, and research just to name a few. Generic techniques by minimally educated people and unfounded supplements are commonplace.
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:I have a Masters Degree in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology. I have spent 7 years of full time schooling obtaining the education that I am convinced is vital to successfully helping my clients live a healthier and more fulfilling life. I have completed over 1000 hours of interning in hospitals, research facilities, community centers, and exercise facilities. I am also a Registered Dietitian. I have an extensive background in the 2 specific fields needed to help you succeed: Nutrition & Exercise.
Why should a client train with you:In addition to a thorough and legitimate education, I possess practical and motivational techniques that give my clients the freedom necessary to achieve and maintain a state of health and fitness. I have the background necessary to go way beyond the typical "one size fits all" nutrition and exercise plan. Not all exercise and nutrition programs are safe, effective, or maintainable especially in a world filled with unhealthy fad diets and exercises promoted by people uneducated in these fields.
