Why have you become a trainer:I have been in IT for over 20 years and wanted to do something that would enhance my fitness side. I have taught group exercise classes and personal trained over a hundred women in the Kansas City area. I love it because in addition to it being fun, it also lets me help people. Something I don't get working for a business in IT. I like running my own business too. It's very exciting and challenging.
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:I have been in IT management since 1992. I believe it helps me to be professional with my clients and helps me to have a good sense of how to run a business. I have also participated in many sports throughout my life. Tennis in high school and college, biking, running, soccer ( just started, I love it but I have a lot to learn ), and I am getting ready to try fencing. It's great for the gluts!
Why should a client train with you:I can help my clients to reach their goals. I have helped with nutrition questions and food logs and helped my clients lose the weight that they wanted to lose in a safe, healthy way. I have also helped my clients to improve their muscle tone and cardio.
My fees are reasonable. I offer a free initial consultation and a free personal training session after purchasing 10. I come to you and push you to reach your goals.
What certifications do you have? What CEC courses have your completed? What certifications are you pursuing:I am an Advanced FiTOUR Nationally Certified Personal Trainer. I have completed several CEC's through AFAA (see my website for details) and I'm working on getting AFAA TeleFitness Certified. I am currently pursuing a certification in Endurance Sports Nutrition. I am also pursuing a Sports Management Certification from Missouri State University (previously SMSU -- Southwest Missouri State University).
