Why have you become a trainer:I became a personal trainer because I have a passion for helping people live healthier, happier lives. I know from experience, that regular exercise and a proper diet make a huge difference in how we feel physically, and emotionally. So many people understand that concept, but don't know how to go about it or lack the motivation and drive necessary to keep on the right track. It is my privilege to teach people, help them set goals, and then walk beside them as they reach those goals.
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:In addition to being a certified personal trainer, I am also an ACE-Certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant. This additional certification enables me to help people get real, set realistic and healthy goals, and then achieve those goals safely. Whether the need is weight loss, an understanding of correct portion sizes, general nutritional counseling, or an accountability partner, I am ready to teach, guide, and cheer my clients on as they work towards greater health and wellness.
How would you help an overweight client lose weight:Weight loss is a personal battle that requires accurate information, a safe and effective plan, and someone to be accoutable to throughout the journey. I counsel with my clients and help them set safe, realistic goals for their diet and exercise. We exercise in a way that is doable and enjoyable for them. We work on making healthy choices in the real world, understanding correct portion sizes, general nutrition, and even basic cooking skills for those who don't know how.
