Why have you become a trainer:I am a trainer because I enjoy motivating and helping others acheive their fitness goals and because I know how hard it can be to lose weight and get in shape on your own. Traditional gyms have failed a lot of people, which is why I started my own personal training studio; it is my mission to guide each client on their individual journey to a healthier, happier life.
What is your training style:My training style varies depending on my clients goals, fitness levels, and needs, but overall I use a very motivational, goal-oriented approach while incorporating sound, research-based techniques utilizing activities that each client enjoys. I believe that my clients should leave every exercise session feeling positive and energized about themselves.
In general, please describe your experience:After being a public school teacher for 7 years and also an avid fitness enthusiast, I was disheartened by the number of adults and children I interacted with that had chronic, preventable health conditions and poor nutritional habits. I decided to become a Certified Personal Trainer and make a major career change for this reason. I am also a Certified Nutrition Specialist. I have trained in a major fitness center and clients' homes and have recently opened my own personal training studio.
