Do you think a personal trainer should be also a good salesman:i would say yes, you are selling yourself to anyone who wants to train with you!
you would need to explain how you can help them achieve and go beyond their goals and how you would be different from any other trainer or experience that have had in the past, you would have to explain why you cost what you charge and help them understand that you are worth it! being a salesman isn't a bad thing misleading someone is what i would consider a big problem and what gives a salesman a bad reputation!!!
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:I was also in the armed forces, the unites states marine corps and have been through there bootcamp and their training which is outside the box of tradition training so i like to add things from their martial arts area of "mcmaps" and there body weight training ideas into my workouts, i also give a nutrition plan to help you achieve your goals with a full body stretch!!!!
i would say i bond with most of my clients and even go to birthday parties etc
Describe a particularly challenging client you have trained:I had a Korean client about 25 years of age, wasn't familiar with the language and never worked out before but was very interested in loosing weight and starting a new life style, i helped him learn the language by talking to him and showing him exercises! i would have to go ova everything a few times and show him in slow motion since we had a lack of communication but over the course of 2 months he lost 18lbs and dropped 8% body fat!
