What is your training style:My clients enjoy their workout even though they work hard. If someone hates or can't do squats for whatever reason, we do something different that works the legs. There are always other exercises!
I ask each client what their goals are. Maybe get in shape for a HS reunion or wedding; medical reasons are more and more common as doctors are finally realizing the benefits of a sensible exercise program AND a sensible way of eating. Notice I didn't use "diet". Results are a great motivator!
Describe your own workout program:I workout about 20 minutes 3 or 4 times a week. Heavy, low reps (6 - 8), total body works best for me. The fact that I teach 9 hours of aerobics a week also helps keep me in shape. I hardly ever use free weights. A curl is a curl. Besides it's much easier (and safer) to move a pin on a machine that swing a 45lb plate! I alternate between upper and lower body, only 2 exercises per body part. Usually, I like to do opposing muscles so that one gets stretched while the other works.
What do you think about the latest trends in the fitness industry:GIMICKS!!!! But whatever gets people to exercise is great.... as long as they don't get hurt. Ya have to start some place.
Some home devices are really good. They keep the person using the proper muscles for that particular exercise. Some are really just crap! In the gyms, some trainers have their clients do exercises because they are time consuming. I see trainers doing the EXACT same exercises for different clients with different goals and body types.
