What is your training style:

With a specific background in elite athletic performance, my style has a unique slant! Programs are about having usable strength, flexibility, coordination and balance. I will be your advisor, motivator, spotter and “technique critiquer”! Still, as a coach, I feel it is my responsibility not only to push but also to hold back! My programs are about performance improvements within the confines “relativity”. Each workout goes through a risk versus benefit filter of 20 years training experience!

Why should a client train with you:

My specialty is in specific athletic improvement and yet most clients are not even athletes! My clients are mostly babyboomers on up to 80 years plus. It seems that once the biomechanics of life are explained, people can appreciate how truly athletic just plain old “living” can be! It’s more than using heavier DBs! We need to stumble but not fall down! To be able to pick up a child or a suitcase and not get hurt! The great amenity: you will look & feel better, be more injury proof & healthier!

How would you help an overweight client lose weight:

Sit down and explain the wive's tales and misconceptions of weight loss and immediately change goal to "Fat Loss"! We go over the hierarchy so each priority gets its due focus. #1 Dynamics of Metabolism: we are BIO-mechanical, not mechanical! #2 Proper eating fuels metabolism. (Improper eating voids the next two) #3 Strength Training (Use it or lose it!) Losing muscle & strength instead of fat is not allowed! #4 Cardio: Ranks last but has the most substantial impact and room for improvement!
