What is your training style:As a trainer, my focus is giving the client the best workout possible. I do this by achieving a Fat-burning Heart Rate during a cardiovascular warm-up and maintaining that level through a variety of safe, but challenging exercises throughout the hour workout. I focus on core strength as an active recovery between exercises. Each workout ends with an assisted stretch of the muscles worked to maintain functional movement following the workouts.
Why have you become a trainer:I became a trainer through a series of events. It all started in college wanting to work with athletes as a Strength & Conditioning Coach. I then went on to general health club to corporate fitness and wellness, then into personal training. In the corporate world, I fell in love with behavior change and the education, prevention, and sometimes rehabiliation that was involved. Today I am a full-time personal trainer and would not want to do anything else.
What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:The biggest mistake people make while working out are that they put the blame on outside sources. No one else can do the work for you. When hiring a personal trainer, always let them know what you need from them in order to keep you motivated and working hard inside the gym as well as in the kitchen. It is a long road to a healthy lifestyle, but a permanent one. The fun lies in the fact that fitness always changes, as does your body.
