What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:In my 20+ years of training, I have come across many types of clients and many personality types. One thing holds true as a constant; if you make the work out enjoyable, the client is more likely to stick with it. I try to make the sessions enjoyable by bringing in my sense of humor and personality. By having a master's degree in both Sport Psychology and General Psychology, motivating the client is a key element in my training process.
Why should a client train with you:Because with me, the client gets a trainer, a coach, and someone who has had many experiences with which to draw from with regards to motivation, variation, etc. If the client wants to have fun while working out, they will choose ExerSyk Personal Training. I am not the drill sergeant type. I believe in pushing the client, but I also have a great feel for knowing their limitations. I tend to keep clients for a long time; this is a sign that my clients enjoy working with me.
How would you help an overweight client lose weight:Because of my psychology background, I like to do behavioral modification along with the personal training. I am also a Life Coach and I can help the client with the outside influences they come across while I am not physically in front of them. I have set up food journals, work out logs, goal setting forms, etc. all at no cost to my client. I believe that when I take on a client, I am there to help them in as many ways as possible.
